Name: Cinco de Mayo Fiesta
Description:This is Minnesota's largest Hispanic/Latino event, and one of the nation's 10 largest Cinco de Mayo festivals. The fiesta honors the historic Mexican Battle of Puebla in 1862, in which the Mexican people defeated the stronger French forces invading them. The festival features vibrant colors in the form of costumes, masks, and parade floats. There will be a huge variety of activities for all ages, including music, dance, food, crafts, a lowrider car show, photo contest, taste contests, basketball, and more.
